Mr. Laban Onditi Rao is the current Vice National Chairman of the Kenya National Chamber of Commerce & Industry, the premiere business membership organization in Kenya.   He is a well known personality in the business leadership circles in Kenya having served in several capacities at the KNCCI and Board member in various organizations mandated with business development.


Mr. Onditi has been widely credited with the revival of the Kenya National Chamber of Commerce & Industry which has been restored to its past glory through a series of transformations during his tenure.


An active player in business, he has served in various capacities as follows; – KNCCI Vice National Chairman and National Chairman of the KNCCI SME Committee.  He also serves on the boards of Export Processing Zones Authority.


Mr. Onditi is an engineer by profession and has served in senior capacities with various companies in plant engineering.


Mr. Onditi is also the interim Vice Chairman of the newly created Great Lakes Private Sector Forum which brings twelve countries within the Great Lakes Region.

Mr. McInally is currently the Head of Exploration for Maersk Oil and has over 20 years’ industry experience. Mr. McInally has previously served as Head of Subsurface, Head of Petroleum Engineering, and Head of Geoscience for Maersk Oil in Qatar and Manager, Producing Field Development for Maersk Oil in Qatar. Prior to joining Maersk Oil, he held geophysicist roles at Kerr McGee, Shell, and Enterprise Oil. Mr. McInally holds a Ph.D. in Sedimentology from Royal Holloway, University of London, a MSc in Petroleum Geology from University of Aberdeen, and a BSc in Geology from University of Glasgow.

Jeroen de Zeeuw is a social development specialist and the founder of Timu, a new advisory organization that focuses on capacity-building and stakeholder engagement around energy, mining and infrastructure projects in Africa and Asia.

He has been working closely with civil society organizations and government institutions in Kenya, South Sudan, Democratic Republic of Congo and Nigeria, and advising them on how to work constructively with private sector investors to improve community development.

Giulia Buttery has over 25 years experience working globally at Director and Board Level in diverse and challenging industry sectors.  Her experience includes 15 years in Oil and Gas leading a portfolio of major upstream projects in West Africa for super-major IOC’s.   Leading key initiatives ensuring operational excellence standards are met, and implementing local content plans to up-skill local capacity to meet project milestones and, more importantly, assist with building a sustainable future.

Giulia is now CEO of OEM (Optimum Excellence Method), who specialize in providing an expert analytics based approach to optimizing business and government strategies in a range of complex industry sectors that includes Oil and Gas.

Brian Muriuki is the Country Manager and Country Chair for Shell in Kenya. His career has spanned various positions including Exploration, Venture Management, Asset Commercial, Economics, Strategy, and Corporate Planning in Iraq, UAE, UK and Norway. Brian has a degree in Economics and Business from York University (Canada) and a Master’s degree in Economics from McGill University (Canada).


Mr. Brewster has over 20 years experience in international management consulting and cost control.  Mr Brewster was a director of performance improvement at PwC and a partner in a boutique PE company. He is the founder, and Managing Director of Basis-Africa, a Kenyan company which on the development of innovative and highly cost-effective water, wastewater and infrastructure systems.  His education includes a Master of Science degree from Imperial College, London and Bachelor of Science honours degree from the University of Aberdeen.  He is an IoD Certified Company Director.
