Sonal has been a full-time legal Consultant with Anjarwalla & Khanna, a leading law firm in Kenya, for over 15 years. Prior to joining Anjarwalla & Khanna, Sonal worked at Franks Charlesly & Co. in London for 11 years (6 of those as a partner). She is a Solicitor of the Supreme Court of England and Wales with considerable experience in mergers & acquisitions including cross border mergers & acquisitions, energy, infrastructure projects and project finance, banking and capital markets.
Sonal is a regular speaker at various Euromoney and other seminars on various aspects of banking and commercial law. She has contributed to “The Analyst,” a business magazine in Kenya, The International Law Office and the “The Advocate”, the official Law Society of Kenya magazine. She has also contributed to the Kenyan chapters for Aircraft Finance: Registration Security and Enforcement and Aircraft Liens & Detention Rights published by Sweet & Maxwell. Sonal has also written articles and conducted a series of seminars on the practical effects of the recently enacted Money Laundering and Proceeds of Crime Act.
