The 4th East African Oil and Gas Summit (EAOGS) takes place at the KICC in Nairobi from the 15 – 17 November 2016, following on from the success of last year’s event which saw over 2,300 participants from 380 companies gain invaluable insight into the projects and latest opportunities in the region.

Further to Tullow Oil and partner Africa Oil Corp’s announcement last week regarding the discovery of over 100 meters of net oil play at the Etom-2 well in Northern Kenya, which has been viewed as the best quality discovery to-date, Alex Budden, VP of External Relations at Africa Oil Corp. has said;

Africa Oil Corp. is pleased once again to be Gold Sponsors of EAOGS. This annual summit has proven to be the most productive regional event in East Africa bringing together key decision makers in government, industry, civil society and wider stakeholders who are able to discuss, and act on, the key opportunities and challenges faced by the industry and its host countries.

As Africa Oil Corp., alongside its partner Tullow Oil, has recently announced a further discovery in the South Lokichar Project this event will once again be at the forefront of discussions around how best to expand exploration success and move into a successful development and production phase.

Launched by the Ministry of Energy & Petroleum in 2012, the 4th EAOGS is now by far the largest and most important conference and exhibition for East Africa.

Following the announcement from Tullow Oil and partners Africa Oil Corp last week and the advancement of the crucial port and refinery developments; there is a lot to look forward to throughout the region and EAOGS will present major projects from key countries including; Ethiopia, Kenya, Mozambique, South Sudan, Tanzania and Uganda.

The Conference Programme for EAOGS 2016 is currently in development by our expert steering committee of industry and government experts and will once again provide a cutting edge agenda covering all of the key issues and success stories.  Alongside the Conference EAOGS 2016 will be increasing its exhibition space to allow for even more companies to demonstrate their products and services to thousands of decision makers from across the industry.

EAOGS  is firmly established as the region’s most prestigious oil and gas summit and is once more set to be a great location to learn, develop new business and affirm standards and policies for the future.
